Position Title: Adjunct (Communication Studies)

Department: Communication Studies

Campus Location: Washburn University

Position Summary: Washburn University's department of Communication Studies invites applications for adjunct faculty beginning Fall 2025.

Each selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing teaching excellence at Washburn University, including a dedication to developing teaching practices that engage students from all backgrounds. 

Essential Functions:
Teach: Public Speaking
Tuesday/Thursday 8:00AM or in the afternoon
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00AM

and/or

Teach: Introduction to Communication Studies
Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday at 8:00AM or as an evening class

In-person courses.

Required Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Communication Studies, or a closely-related field and a minimum of 18 credit hours in Communication or Speech Communication.
• Demonstrated dedication to developing teaching practices that engage students from all backgrounds.
• Official educational transcripts are required during the hiring process.
