Position Title: Web Fulfillment and Course Materials Specialist

Position Summary: The Web Fulfillment and Course Materials Specialist maintains the Ichabod Shop websites and fulfills web orders. This position works with a third-party website service/support provider and Ichabod Shop management to ensure the webstores are current with the industry's best practices and technologies while meeting the demands of campus needs. This position assists the Course Materials team with coordinating and procuring faculty course material requests.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain a healthy, fair, and inclusive work environment by exercising teamwork and collaboration. Actively promote a professional workplace culture of mutual respect and collegiality for all members of the institution.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by working to create win-win situations for customers. Responsible for modeling exceptional customer service when working the floor or cash register. Provide cross-departmental sales support.
• Process orders for course materials, graduation regalia, and other related Ichabod Shop merchandise: package merchandise for pickup or shipping, update webstore inventory and charge customers, and follow up as needed with other staff and/or vendors as needed to resolve issues that develop during order processing. Forward merchandise and documentation to receiving for shipment or prepare for in-store pickup.
• Work with the Ichabod Shop management, third party website service and support provider, and Washburn ITS to ensure the Ichabod Shop website is current with industry technologies.
• Prepare photographs and vendor web images to be uploaded to the website. Remove items from the website as needed.
• Assist with faculty requests for course materials. Follow up to discuss edition changes, no adoption, out-of-stock, etc.
• Assist in determining quantities of course materials needed. Identify suppliers and place orders with publishers/distributors. Schedule shipping to ensure materials are available for customers.
• Work with other Ichabod Shop staff, to develop and implement promotions, advertisements, and other events (sidewalk sales, theme events, etc.) that are profitable and to acquaint faculty with Ichabod Shop services.
• Assist with year-end physical inventory counts.
• Share in opening/closing duties for the Shop and may be required to work periodically on evenings and weekends.
• Pursue professional development opportunities for individual growth and performance improvement.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a retail environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to move or maneuver items weighing up to fifty pounds periodically and items weighing from ten to forty pounds regularly.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours as events or store coverage requires.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using a computerized ordering system.
• Post-secondary degree.
• Experience using basic HTML, Adobe, and/or Photoshop.
• Knowledge of web and graphics design.
