Position Title: Assistant Athletics Business/Ticket Manager

Position Summary: This position serves as the Assistant Business and Ticket Manager for Washburn University Athletics Department.
Essential Functions:
The Assistant will support the Business/Ticket Manager, Associate Director of Athletics Compliance/SWA and other Athletics staff in the following areas:
-Financial Management
Assist appropriate staff with all bookkeeping, internal audit preparations, and accounting activities for the Athletics Department, including tracking of department expenses, fund balancing and internal financial reports. Will work with University and Athletics staff to provide training and direction to ensure financial activities are accurately and appropriately documented.
-Ticket sales and Management
Provide support with all aspects of ticket operations, including set-up and maintenance of an online sales portal for ticketed events and sports camp registrations. Generate reports for all online sales and reconcile funds received for payments. Make deposits as required under University policies and procedures. Assist appropriate staff in developing and implementing a ticket sales plan to increase ticket sales and game attendance. Assist in communicating ticket information and updates with season ticket holders and fans. Assist in overseeing game day ticket sales, and with the coordination and scheduling of game day staff.
-Sports Camps
Work with coaches and staff to establish fees for sports camps. Assist with the online set-up of camps, monitoring of ongoing registrations and completing financial reports for sports camps.
-Reporting and Documentation
Assist with completing reports, documentation and maintaining files as assigned. Some of these include but are not limited to:
• The financial report for the Department of Education EADA Report
• The annual NCAA Financial Report
• Compliance-related issues and reports, including NLI preparation, scholarship award letters
• Managing athlete database, and
• Scanning, coping, organizing, and filing data and records.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field, or work experience in bookkeeping/accounting equivalent to four years.
Experience working with Excel, online ticket systems, and relational database systems.
Physical Requirements:
Minimal lifting of boxes and small equipment. Ability to work extended hours with a variable schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Ellucian Banner. Bookkeeping experience and experience in a college athletic environment.
Full time, Exempt, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
