Position Title: Adjunct SON - Graduate

Position Summary: Washburn University School of Nursing seeks a dynamic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse APRN adjunct to teach in an online graduate nursing program.
Essential Functions:
• Instruction of graduate students in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner graduate programs
• Maintain a quality online learning environment for didactic/practicum courses
• Willingness to co-teach a core course within the graduate program
Required Qualifications:
• MSN with APRN status
• Minimum two years of experience as an APRN obtained within the last five years
• Demonstrated commitment to developing inclusive teaching practiced that engage students from diverse backgrounds.
• National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP or CNS
• Licensed in Kansas as an RN and APRN
• Official transcripts are required at time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
*DNP or PhD
*Minimum two years of experience as an advanced practice nurse in Psychiatry obtained within the last five years
*Experience in nursing education teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level
*Proficiency in technology such as working with online learning platforms, teleconferencing, Microsoft Office and related web-based applications
