Washburn University's Music department is inviting applications for Adjunct (Music/Applied String Bass).

Essential Functions:
• Teach assigned courses which may include, but are not limited to: Applied String Bass, Applied Jazz Lessons, Performance Class, or courses within candidate’s expertise
• Perform in Faculty Jazz Quartet
• Recruit students and maintain a public profile as a performer and teacher
• Assist with the Washburn University Coleman Hawkins Summer Jazz Camp and Jazz Festival

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Music.
Professional performance experience in both Classical and Jazz. Classroom teaching experience.
Demonstrated dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage all learners.
Official educational transcripts are required during the offer process.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctorate
• University teaching experience
• Experience recruiting students at the university level
